There are many ways we can serve as members of the parish community. At the Maundy Thursday service the confirmandi and other members of the parish had their feet washed by the Bishop who followed Jesus' example of washing the feet of the disciples. For images of the washing of the feet, click here. As they get confirmed the young people are thinking about what they are being called to do now and in the future.
Birthdays can often be a time to reflect back on the past year and think about what we want to do in the year ahead. The feast of Pentecost is seen as the Birthday of the church. Maybe this is a time for all of us to think about how we can use the gifts we have been given.
