On Friday night young people preparing for confirmation and their catechists had a very busy evening. They started off joining others in the parish for the Stations of the Cross which is a traditional prayer and source of meditation on Christ's Passion.
Next they went into Cathedral library and transformed some plain pieces of cardboard into some large displays for use in the Reconciliation Service when children who have been learning about reconciliation will make their first confession when they receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Here is a quick preview of the young people hard at work, using their creative gifts and talents and learning more about another traditional prayer - the rosary, and in particular the Sorrowful Mysteries.
The finished posters and reflections on the Sorrowful Mysteries will be presented during the Reconciliation Service on Thursday 22nd March at 6.30pm.
