Body and Blood of Christ

This is my Body ... This is my Blood
Today we celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ  which many older readers will remember as the Feast of Corpus Christi, which we used to celebrate on Thursday after Pentecost.
We listened to Mark's Gospel account of the Last Supper (Mark 14:12-16,22-26) and talked about what Jesus said and did, and what the priest says and does during the Eucharistic Prayer.
In children's liturgy the children who are going to receive their First Holy Communion next Sunday talked about how they will prepare during the coming week.

Over the coming week we pray for the families and children who are preparing to receive Jesus in Holy Communion.  We'll be including memories from other people who share what they remember about their own First Holy Communion.
