Friday Photo of Faith: Taize Service and Snow!

The final Friday before Holy Week closed with the stations of the cross followed by a Taize service led by Fr Philip Connor and the Castlerigg team.  It was a quiet and prayerful service, which was very special because it took place in the Blessed  Sacrament Chapel of the Cathedral. A very different prayer experience for those who haven't been to Taize, and a cooler experience for those who have!

Following the service some people who had attended had a photograph taken by the statue of Our Lady.

A snowy journey
Taize intercessions included prayers for those affected by the cold and snow. It is sometimes the more extreme weather conditions when we are reminded to remember others who may be suffering or struggling. This picture sent in shows that in Lancaster we may be very lucky.  At this time we remember those who are having to work and travel in the snow. Let us also think of those closer to home our neighbours who may be struggling to get out.
