During the mini mission there will be sessions entitled Faith in the Family, these will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at different parishes. The sessions are for parents and adults, with parallel activities for young people. See poster for further details.
Family days are another feature of the Castlerigg experience and looking at their photo gallery it would appear they even managed to arrange for good weather! It is often said that faith is caught not taught. The family weekends and events offer a chance to share faith together within the family.
Gap years
There is even an opportunity to spend a gap year working with the youth team. If you are able to come along to one of the Mini Mission events, you will get a chance to be able to meet some of this year's team and to ask more about this experience. For more information about Gap Year at Castlerigg
Even if you haven't got a year, then there are lots of ways you might be able to get involved. In these days when young people, are looking for things for their personal statement and CVs it is good to know that some are able to gain valuable experiences in using their gifts and talents to offer service to the Church and parish communities.
