Heating Fund - Update

The newsletter this week provided an update on the current balance of the heating fund account which is £17,658.79; to date we have paid out £74,569.08 to the contractors, the project manager and the Cathedral
architect . This includes £11,407.50 in VAT which should be reclaimable through the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme. The contractors are in daily from 8:00am. They work as quickly and quietly as possible and are doing their best to cause minimal disturbance. 
The bright red radiators are shortly to be replaced with some that match the metal gates behind them, but otherwise the project is going according to plan. 
Masses and other services will continue as normal, but please be aware that the Cathedral will be a construction site so do take extra care. Now that the cold weather is upon us, please remember that there is no heating in the building until the new system is ready: only a few more weeks to go!

Confirmation group 2013 

There are so many who have been involved in fund raising and who have supported others in their efforts. Right the confirmation group 2013, who each received £5 and were invited to use their talents to try and increase this fund.  Money from the group has come to a total of £100.  A big thank you to all who have helped and are helping us collect the remaining funding needed.
