Happy Feast Day to all the Joseph's in the parish.
Today is the feast of St Joseph, the husband of the blessed Virgin Mary. It is a solemnity which means that even though we are in Lent we still celebrate the feast day. The priest wears white instead of purple.
St Joseph included in the Eucharistic prayers of thanksgiving
The Liturgy Office explains how Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments have informed Bishops' Conferences that St Joseph is now to be included in the Eucharistic Prayers 2 - 4. The decree statement says:

'Exercising his paternal (fatherly) care over Jesus, Saint Joseph of Nazareth, set over the Lord's family, marvellously fulfilled the office he received by grace. ... model of the kindness and humility that the Christian faith raises to a great destiny, and demonstrates the ordinary and simple virtues necessary for men to be good and genuine followers of Christ. Through these virtues, this Just man, caring most lovingly for the Mother of God and happily dedicating himself to the upbringing of Jesus Christ, was placed as guardian over God the Father's most precious treasures. ...
