How do you unclutter your mind and your life? What opportunities or space can you create in the busy schedule of life. Hopefully for those who haven't had to work, the Bank Holiday (origins of the word holiday being Holy Day) will have given a welcome break from the busy routine. Today, news from Sr Katharine at St Thomas More's who writes about how she takes time out each year to spend in prayer and reflection. She writes:
How do you unclutter?
If you have ways of uncluttering your mind and spending time with God, either by going on retreat, spending time in the garden, going for a walk, visiting a special place, or have a scripture passage, poem or something to reflect on do let us know using our contact page.
Last week I was blessed with some days of Retreat at St Beuno's in North Wales. The first couple of days I used to unclutter my mind of everyday concerns as I enjoyed the beauty, peace and silence of the place. Having made space for God I was guided to look at passages from scripture; 'Seek the Lord where he may be found, call upon him while he is near' Isaiah 55:1-11.Remember we are all different ... which of these images would you choose to reflect the scriptural quotation.
For those looking for some special time with Lord a Retreat is a great way finding this website www.beunos.com Sister Katharine osu
