Bring a flower - Feast of Assumption

Window to our Lady
Feast of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - 15th August
This year, the feast of the Assumption falls on a Saturday, and is therefore celebrated on the nearest Sunday - to help mark this feast you are invited to bring a flower to place in one of the vases in front of the stained glass window in honor of Mary which is located at the back of the Cathedral.

You may want to make a paper flower and as you make it spend time saying a prayer for someone you know who needs her prayers.  There are lots of how to guides available, and it could be an ideal time for a grown up to show a child how to make a flower, or vice versa!.  Here is a link to a website with 20 paper flower designs
