Advent 3 - Sing and Dance for Joy

Today we celebrated the third Sunday in Advent.  As we lit the purple Advent candles of hope, peace and today's pink candle for joy the children shared their experience of lighting their homes with candles during the recent power cut.  This unusual event allowed us to talk about how the candle chases away the darkness, and how Jesus who is light of the world is with us as we try to fill the world with light.  When we came to our Alleluia we sang, jumped and danced for JOY.  After the Gospel we listened as one of the children read a message from John the Baptist ...
