Welcome by candle light

We usually celebrate Mass in candle light at Midnight Mass for Christmas, or Candlemass (2nd of February) however last night a localised power outage provided a mass with a difference.  Welcomers equipped with torches and candles welcomed those attending 6.30 mass, and just before mass started Fr Steve invited people to sit near the front as the microphones were not working. 
During our prayers of intercession we remembered the many people affected by Hurricane Matthew, no doubt many of them will be without power and clearly facing hardships we can hardly imagine. Please keep them in your prayers.
