No we aren't a month early, we are wishing you a Happy New Year as we start the new church year, which begins with the season of Advent.
There are lots of traditions and customs linked to advent ... advent calendars, wreaths, ... O'antiphons and opportunities to take time to reflect and prepare for Jesus' birth at Christmas by going to confession, taking time to come to vespers (evening prayer) Sunday at 4.30pm, or attending CAFOD reflection and Gospel sharing at St Thomas More Thursday 14th December at 7.30pm. There are also a host of Christmas events which we'll publicise in the coming weeks.
