Working at my allotment helps me to appreciate God’s creation. I am constantly astonished by the beauty of what I see - a butterfly on a sunflower, a bee taking pollen from a flower, a tadpole changing gradually into a frog, the sweet flavour of a ripe blackberry. I appreciate how living creatures help me as a gardener and I try to respect them as much as I can. The work also calms my soul and helps me to pray. It is a quiet space away from the busy day where I can forget about time. I am grateful to God for the produce I can pick which is so tasty and keeps me healthy. by Brendan (a parishioner)
