Racial Justice Sunday - Created in the image and likeness of God

Image from Racial Justice Sunday
Today is also Racial Justice Sunday and the theme this year is:

"In the Image and Likeness of God".

At the back of the Cathedral there is a display of images showing different presentations of the Holy Family from different countries and cultures. A prayer for racial justice Sunday.

Come, Holy Spirit, show us your beauty,
reflected in all the peoples of the earth,
so that we may discover anew
that all are important and all are necessary,
different faces of the one humanity
that God so loves.
Amen.

We are lucky at the Cathedral to have parishioners who come from around the world and many will have learned to say some of our familiar prayers, the Our Father and Hail Mary in other languages.  If you'd like to listen to and perhaps learn one of these prayers in another language you can find a wide range of languages in the following recordings.
