Every day in the week is a reminder of something. On Friday, as Catholics we are asked to fast on Friday as a reminder of Good Friday, the day when Jesus died for us on the cross. During the Year of Faith we would also like to show photos that show the variety of things people are doing to live out their faith.
We start this week sharing some Friday Photos from the original Cathedral Parish Blog and an entry in Lancaster Cathedral's 150th Anniversary blog.
The whole Cathedral was stripped of decoration, as much as is possible. Above the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, without candles or altar cloths. The tabernacle is empty and the doors are left open.
We'd like to show in a more visual way examples of faith, these might be:
- activities - things done on a Friday by someone from our faith community;
- places - you visit, or are important to you, in your faith journey;
- objects - that are important now, or in the past, such as a Baptism gift, statue;
- people - who help, or have helped, you in your journey of faith.
