Lancaster Spiritual Mothers

On January 1st, the Feast of Mary, the Mother of God, saw the launch of Lancaster Spiritual Mothers. Some of the group continues to meet for adoration on the second Friday of the month, at St Mary's Hornby, others continue to pray as they can, for the the priests they have been given to pray anonymously for until the Feast of St John Vianney.
Vocations are supported by the faith of the family, the following letter may provide a helpful reflection for mothers of priests and Spiritual Mothers, a translation of Cardinal Piacenza's letter The Cardinal's letter says:
For when a priest teaches the faith of the Church, it is Christ who speaks to the People through him. When he prudently guides the faithful entrusted to him, it is Christ who shepherds his sheep. And when he celebrates the Sacraments, in an eminent way the Most Holy Eucharist, it is Christ himself who through his ministers continues the work of man’s salvation and makes himself truly present in the world
