Prayer and plans for Lent

Next Wednesday Lent begins and to support us in prayer throughout this time there are a range of opportunities, see below.

Shrove Tuesday - 12th February 
Pancakes will be served after the final talk in the Curious Series 
The Major Fruits of the Council: The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Code of Canon Law Fr Andrew Allman at 7.30pm St Walburghe's Chapel

Ash Wednesday - 13th February (Ashes will be distributed at all Masses)
Masses: St Thomas More 9:00am
Cathedral: 12:15pm
6:00pm - (Latin) Low Mass
7:30pm Sung Mass

Wednesdays in Lent: (from 20th Feb)
6.15pm Stations of the Cross
7:00-8:00pm Confessions & exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
8:00pm Benediction & Sung Compline
Lent Lunches:
Lunches will be served in the Cloister Cafe each Wednesday starting on 20th February, after midday Mass.
Soup and Sandwich cost £2.50 Profits will go to Cenacolo in Kendal

Fridays in Lent:
6:15pm Stations of the Cross
7:00pm Guided mediation, this will lead into a period of silent adoration
7:45pm Sung Compline & Benediction
NB Friday 22nd March there will be a service to mark the end of the Mini-Mission week, details to follow.

Saturdays in Lent:
11:00am Exposition & confessions.
11:45am Rosary: Sorrowful Mysteries
Sundays in Lent:
4:00pm Stations of the Cross
4:40pm Sung Vespers and Benediction
