Today we celebrate Palm Sunday, the painting is Giotto's Entry into Jerusalem and shows how the crowds welcomed Jesus as their king. How quickly they would turn away, and even Peter who by the end of the week was to deny his friend. We'll see a painting of Peter's denial, a scene from the passion we'll hear at Mass, later in the week.
