Mass of Lord's Supper - Washing feet

Tonight we listened to John's Gospel account of the Last Supper and were reminded of Jesus' example to serve one another.  The Bishop washed the feet of parishioners from St Thomas More and St Peter's as a reminder to us all to think about what we can do to serve our neighbour and follow the Lord's example of love. Amongst the group were men and women, readers, musicians, catechists, members of the hospitality team, the school, those living out their vocation as parents, consecrated life, Sr Zela representing our Ursuline sisters and one of our confirmandi.

On Sunday, in their children's liturgy the children travelled with Jesus from Palm Sunday through to the Last Supper, where they washed each others feet and shared ways they could follow Jesus' example. Tomorrow they will pray the stations of the cross and travel with Jesus to the Cross.
