Les - Happy and Humble

Today the parishioners at 10.30 Mass were able to celebrate the reception of a parishioner into the Church.  Les was received into the Church being confirmed and receiving Holy Communion for the first time.  Talking after Mass, Les said he was 'happy and humble' on this very special day in his faith journey.

Our closing hymn was very fitting and reminder to us all. Lord you give the final commission, with the final words of each verse
... with the Spirit's gifts empow'r us
for the work of ministry.

Like all confirmed in the Church we are all asked to think about how we might use the gifts of the Spirit given to us to love and serve others.

In a few weeks time at the Feast of Pentecost young people of our parish and the parishes of the deanery will gather together to be confirmed by Bishop Michael Campbell.  Please keep Les and our confirmandi in your prayers.
